Juniors
This year's English course takes a definite "jump up" in difficulty level. You will be reading the works of American authors from 400 years ago to the present, studying the growth of American literature as it related to historical events, along with noticing the writer's point of view and style. You will also be learning the characteristics of good writing. English III is a difficult course, and the TAKS test [required for graduation] is coming up in February. You can do it if you put your mind to it. I will show you how.
