Kerr Students See Lung Surgery Live Career Conversations
On October 17, Kerr Anatomy and Physiology and AP Biology classes will view live lung cancer surgery by way of one of the "SURGICAL SUITE" videoconferences.

This videoconference comes from Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Students will be able to actually talk to the surgeons as well as other surgical personel during the actual 3 hour operation.

Students are sent information in advance to help prepare them for the program.

The sponsor of this videoconference is COSI, the Columbus Science Institute in Columbus, Ohio. COSI offers many other videoconferencing opportunities for students nationally
On October 30, Kerr students will learn secrets of sucessful job interviewing by way of the videoconference “JOB INTERVIEWS AND HOW TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS”.

There is nothing more nerve-wracking than a job interview because you have to be the best version of you that you can be, and that means lots of preparation. While you may have your resume perfected and answers to the typical questions rehearsed in your head, you might be forgetting one important element of a job interview . . . the ability to connect with the interviewer. In this videoconference, Francene Gilmer from the Vanderbilt University Career Center will show you how to build a relationship with an interviewer to maximize your chances as a candidate.

This videoconference comes from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. This is one in a series of the "Career Conversations" series of videoconferences.
